- In this course students learn how to implement, administer and troubleshoot Windows 2000 Professional as a desktop operating system in a network environment. Topics start with a discussion of the principal features and architecture of Windows 2000 Professional. The steps required performing an attended installation, an unattended installation, an upgrade or a service pack deployment are then discussed in detail. Participants will also become familiar with user account and group management, local and network security, resource sharing, network connectivity from various desktop platforms (NT Workstation, and Windows 95/98), application management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting techniques.
