- This workshop is a continuation of the Introduction to C# programming course. In languages of the 90’s, ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) was the most common data access method used for client/server projects. For the .NET Framework, ADO, called ADO.NET, has been redesigned and extended for distributed Internet use. It is the primary data access strategy in C# and uses the same methods for local, client/server or Internet access. In this course students fully discuss and use the ADO.NET model. Topics include understanding ADO.NET, Windows and Internet applications with C#, managed providers, understanding and using DataSets and accessing XML through ADO.NET, threads and socket programing, data access strategies with ADO.NET, understanding and creating basic components in C#, and versioning support.
