This workshop provides software developers with a working knowledge of advanced topics in Java programming. Topics include: invoking C/C++ functions from a Java program, benefits of multithreading, benefits of socket communication, saving and retrieving objects to and from files, querying and updating databases using Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) compliant database drivers, invoking methods in remote Java objects, and using the constuctors, fields and methods of any object at runtime.
