Course Description

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) will allow you to separate web page content from design. This is the nature of well formed HTML pages according to the W3C, the organization is charge of setting web standards. Using CSS gives you the ability to change one element of your web design on all your pages simultaneously.

Using Cascading Style Sheets
Style sheets are special HTML documents that contain information about formatting Web pages. Style sheets allow you to have precise control over your Web pages’ appearance, using a wider range of HTML tags and attributes than in earlier versions of HTML.

Benefits of CSS
Cascading Style Sheets allow you to alter font, type size, and other attributes by using styles. You will learn to implement design standards and exceptions using the three main scopes of style sheets. You’ll learn syntax rules and the purpose of each scope.

Altering Appearance through CSS-P
Using the positioning elements of CCS-P , you’ll have the ability to control precisely the vertical, horizontal, and 3-dimensional positions of every element on your Web page.

CSS Implementation
After extensive practice with CSS, you will create a Web site and publish it to a Web server. You will also explore the differences in CSS implementation in Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
