This seminar presents an overview of data modeling and its role in application development and data administration. Along with explaining data modeling methodologies and conventions, the course introduces tools that can help automate the modeling process. Students also gain experience with techniques used for developing the data model, conducting modeling workshops, and modifying and reusing the model.
