Course Description

The eXtensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) is a language for expressing stylesheets. It is logically divided into three component languages, XSLT (XSL Transformations), XPath (XML Path Language) and XSL Formatting Objects and Properties. XSLT is a language for describing how to transform one XML document into another. XPath is an expression language used by XSLT to access or refer to parts of an XML document. XSL Formatting Objects and Properties include an XML vocabulary for specifying formatting semantics. In this class we will learn the basics of each component of XSL along with transforming XML documents into HTML, XHTML and PDF files.
